Sorry if this sounds all spammy and all but he's a good friend and a great framer.

So, you have photos. Lots and lots of photos. Your house is overflowing with photos. It would be nice to display them for the world to enjoy. But where do you go to get them framed at a reasonable price?
My friend Brian Mccarty has a frame shop called Framed Classics. he does good work and I'll personally vouch for him. He's offering a 20% discount to all us Chicago Photobloggers. Such a deal!

Framed Classics is located at 1903 w. Belmont in the fine city of Chicago.
Phone is 773-388-2782
It's best to call first, he's often gone out on calls.

Just mention Chicago Photobloggers to get yer discount.

Sorry if this sounds all spammy and all but he's a good friend and a great framer.

Our own Bill Vaccaro of is featured in this month's mooncruise*magazine. If you were there for the February meet-up, you'll see some familiar photographs.

Head on over there and check out his work. You'll need Flash, and if you're at work turn down the speakers. Nick F also did a nice blurb on the blog.

April Photobloggers Meetup in Chinatown

posted by Bill Vaccaro in Happenings - permalink

The next Chicago Photobloggers meetup will take place Sunday, April 17, 2005 at 1 pm. Be sure to bring an appetite as we'll fill up on dim sum and other Chinese delicacies at:

2131 S. Archer Avenue
Chicago, IL

Phoenix is located near the Cermak/Chinatown Red Line El stop between W. Cermak and S. Wentworth in the heart of Chinatown. Street parking is possible. There is a pay lot at Cermak and Wenworth. According to Metromix, it's $1 for three hours on Sunday. Naturally, there'll be a shootout afterwards so bring your cameras (as if I have to remind you).

I happened to case out the area yesterday. The White Palace Grill is located on the northeast side of the corner of Canal and Roosevelt. I suggest that we meet in front of the grill and go from there. See you all on Sunday!

As you may all know, this coming Saturday Is the annual St. Patricks Day Parade and festivities.  You better believe I am gonna be there to watch them turn that dark green Chicago River into a bright radioactive green!  Would anyone like to meet me at the river ceremony and then sprint to the metal fences along the parade?  If so, just let me know.
